The feeling I get sitting down to write this first blog entry is amazingly similar to the feeling I used to get in school when I would begin a term paper.  There is little in life more intimidating to me then a blank Word document and a blinking carrot.  Since I’ve already identified the likeness between my term papers and my first blog entry lets see how treating them similarly works.  How about starting with a little research?

Wikipedia defines a blog as “a website where entries are made in journal style and displayed in a reverse chronological order.”  Well that doesn’t seem too hard.  It also says that Technorati is tracking nearly 60 million blogs as of November 2006.  Hmm, I guess you can count me out of the early adopters group.  Well enough with the book report style research, this really isn’t for school.  I think the main reason I hated papers in school was that I never had much to say on the topics that I was forced to write about.

Actually writing this entry isn’t that bad, anyone that knows me will tell you I typically have plenty to say, especially about technology.  So content won’t be an issue and as long as I’m not being graded on my grammar this should go pretty well.  On that note, be warned my use of the English language may be seen as grotesque by some.  So to all those grammar police out there, have a field day with this.
